This unique double-bottom basket is woven with Japanese squarework techniques. The Japanese rolled border makes a rope-like finish at the top. Dyed reed adds contrast and a tucked handle finishes the wall basket. The Double-Bottom Mail Basket is a pattern for all weaving levels. Dimensions: Base: 4 inches wide by 8 inches long, Height of Basket: 6 inches (not including the handle). The best way to weave the bases is on a board marked with 1-inch squares so that you can keep the edges of the bases even. A rotary cutting mat is ideal. Author: Flo Hoppe
