You’ll enjoy creating this generously-sized easy-to-make basket with natural reed, dyed reed, and paper splint. The set of leather handles add a great look, and they are so practical! Perfect for shopping or carrying projects, this filled-base basket measures 13" x 5 1/2" at the base and stands 13" tall.
Basic techniques include stop/start rows of weaving along with standard tucking, rims and lashing.
Thanks to Lynne Marrs Hammer Ferguson, Artist in Residence, Kentucky Museum at Western Kentucky University, for her inspiration in developing this pattern.
